Yesterday me and Heather went on one of our drives.
We headed down the A1, and turned off towards Melton Mowbray. Looking at the map Heather realised that we weren’t too far away from Heather, it’s somewhere we’ve mentioned before and said we would visit.
Upon arriving in Heather, we discovered that it was their Scarecrow Festival, so we had a wander around looking at the local efforts.
Having visited Heather, next stop had to be Quinton.

We had two choices, Quinton in Northamptonshire or Quinton in the West Midlands. We opted for Quinton in Northamptonshire as this just meant driving down the M1.
Quinton was less exciting than Heather, however it was very picturesque.
Unfortunately looking at maps we can’t find Ryan, but we can find a Cullen, the only slight problem is the drive.

Whilst the bombings in London haven’t really had an effect on me, the bombings in Egypt have.
The attacks on London for myself have always been coming, and after Madrid, attacks on the Underground were most likely. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m no longer working and travelling in London, however both my Dad and my Mum’s boyfriend are in the area (my Dad was at UCL on Wednesday, Simon was on the scene of the number 30 bus within minutes).
It may be the lack of any iconic images, London only has a bus, whilst New York had two building collapsing, that I’m not glued to the TV or reading the newspapers, I just don’t know.
But it was a phone call yesterday which scared me. Only a few weeks ago my Mum and sister were in the hotel which was bombed by the suicide car bomber. They got to know the reception staff, the bar staff and possible some of the guests who were killed. For some reason what ever it is, I’m much more upset about this than London.

Due to the house move, we presently have no Broadband (or phone line).
Due to o2 being crap, I can’t get GPRS. 3 phone calls, 1 email and it’s still not working. I know what the problem is, and know what they need to do to fix it, however they keep telling me it’s a problem with the phone, which it isn’t.
They have 48 hours to sort it out, else I will deem it a breach of the contract, and finally move to Vodafone.

Blogger has recently added an image upload facility. To ensure that everybody’s blogs didn’t fall apart, they’ve added this line of code before the text of each post.

Which in turn has made most peoples blogs fall apart. Blogger claim to be looking into the issue. Surely the answer is just to remove that line of code.

Today I signed the tenancy agreement for my first house under my own name (instead of being shared accommodation).
I’ve also been shopping with a credit card in Ikea and should have something to sleep on tomorrow.
Just need to wait for a phone line, broadband, a TV aerial before it will really feel like home.

Have just been watching BBC Parliament and the result of the Second Reading is:
314 for and 283 against.

Posting via my mobile as Tiscalli are having problems with the Internet. Most sites aren’t reachable however LDYS and artesea are whilst LibDemBlogs which is on the same server isn’t.
They claim bad weather, we shall see.

Me and Heather went yesterday, it’s a lovely place and worth the effort.

I’ve built a search engine for this blog.
Enter the search phrase in the box on the right and then hit go.

The search engine uses the Google API and NuSOAP.
The code I wrote is actually the one I wrote for the LDYS website, so it wasn’t too hard to modify.

Due to some problems with the current registar of my domain name, you might find my blog and main site missing for a while.
Hopefully I will be able to transfer everything successfully, but if previous experience is to go by, this may not happen.
