A story about the leadership, policy or fringes?
Nope, the best freebie so far. Blackpool Pleasure Beach, courtesy of Meridan TV.
With nothing for them to film at Conference, they opted for soundbites from young people whilst going on themepark rides.
First was the Pepsi Max Big One which we needed to go on twice in a row for the cameras. Next was a ride called Spin Doctor, not sure why they wanted for us to go on it, but I was the only one brave enough. Finally there was the dogems, which are always fun.
After the cameras left, we were free to go on the rest of the rides and with it being out of season we had no queus.
In theory we’ll be on TV Sunday lunch time, so if you live on the south coast, or know how to manually tune in your Sky box, you might get to see me having fun.

Conference Number Plate Spotting
I’m at conference, so what’s my first post about? Number plates!
This Saturday on the way across the country I managed to spot consecutively number plates 282, 283, 284, 285, 286, 287 and 288 a consecutive record for myself. The only problem was that I failed to find 281 first 🙁
Picture of the Week
Thanks to the BBC for this one.

Further to James comment, I’ve now opened a shop with SpreadShirt who provide goods in the UK.
They have a larger range of nicer T-Shirts, however not all designs work with them. Most orders should be dispached within 2 days, so order now and they should arrive before conference.

The new LibDemBlogs shop focusFodder is open for trading, buy now and get your goods before Federal Conference!*
Delivery dates can’t actually be confirmed, as goods are sent from the USA

For only 99p from Waterstones, it was a good bargain. If I didn’t have at least 15 books on my to-read shelf, then I might look into reading other books from Stephen Booth.
Derbyshire isn’t really a part of the country I know much about, other than I drove through it on the way to Cheadle, so I wasn’t sure of the geography, but it did sound nice.

‘New Peter Kay’ on Perrier list
I feel sorry for the 5 Perrier nominees, and especially Jason Manford. The snippet on the BBC website says
A stand-up comic hailed as a successor to Peter Kay is among the nominees for this year’s Perrier Comedy Award.
Who exactly? Why can’t they name him where he is due credit? Only opening the story do we find out what his name is.
Personally I hope Chris Addison wins, but that’s because he’s the only one of the lot I’ve seen live before.
Tebbit: ‘Cricket test’ could have stopped bombings
What is he on? Does this mean that I shouldn’t be supporting the Irish football team, or my New Zealand friends shouldn’t support the All Blacks at rugby?

CNPS: One Year On
I’ve been Consecutive Number Plate Spotting now for 1 year, and have found 260 plates, so a quick bit of maths say another 3 years to go!
