On the weekend Heather brought this book, upon flicking through it, I found a picture which I was in.
How long did it take Heather to find me? A day and a half!

New LibDemBlog Rules
For those who don’t visit the About page daily, just a couple of small changes.
Posts with longs words are now ignored (the word limit is current 70), most times these are really long URLs or tables which your feed has removed the tags, but not added any spaces.
People who don’t post anything for 60 days, will find their name being removed from the BlogBox, as nobody likes an out of date link. At the moment this process is done part manually, part automatically. (The list of when you last posted is created by the computer, so I don’t have to trawl through every blog, but the switch to turn you on or off is manual). So don’t be alarmed that your blog hasn’t been turned back on straight away.
The autochecker also lets me know who’s blog is crashing the site, so if your site goes down for a while, you may find it might take a while for it to reappear on LibDemBlogs.
If at any time you do find your site missing, and your site is fine, posts have short words and you’ve posted within the last two days, feel free to contact me to get them switched on.
[email protected] – please don’t send personal correspondence to this address, as it is filtered for LibDemBlog issues only.
Lincoln Enhancer
This post has been done for one of three reasons. Firstly I’ve been working on a way to upload my pictures from my mobile, direct to my blog. I’ve now got something working via Opera, which takes a GIF, JPEG or PNG and re-sizes it to either 200 or 430 pixels wide for me, stores it in the image directory, and renames the file for me. So the picture was a test.
The reason for picking the picture was that I just found it again lying about on my phone. Will sent it to me a while ago, after seeing it at a station or somewhere.
Finally, I felt that after three seasons maybe the Imps might just need some of this. [Begins to duck and cover].
BBC eases rules on news feed use
Phew, at least this means that my blog, and LibDemBlogs are OK. Just wish more people took this view.
By having the BBC News links on my site, I’m not stealing readers, but providing them.
No 24 Spoilers Here, Sorry
Back in August 2004, I made this post “Major ’24’ spoilers revealed“.
Today, I am currently 9th on Google for the search 24 spoilers. It must be a real disappointment for all those who have visited the page (661 this month, 2035 this year), as it only contains a link to a site which is on about episodes 1 and 2.
As somebody who gets sent a copy each week from America, and are currently waiting for this Mondays episode to arrive, I’m guessing that the episode was a big one, as the number of people visiting my blog was up by 200% yesterday.
I was tempted to edit the page, and add fake spoilers, but then realised that what ever I said would be a spoiler for those who are watching it on Sky One, or are awaiting the DVD.
All I will say, is that Day 4 is a great as all the others, but even more over the top with it’s story lines.
For those of you who want to post about the current season of 24, please do it
here ( ), if you want to comment about this post, please follow the normal comment link below.
Oldham Stay Up
Oldham managed to win today, so they’ll be staying in League 1 for another season.
The season didn’t start well, then suddenly wins were appearing, they started to look good. But it’s Oldham, so the losses began again and the manager went. New manager, but still no real results and relegation was on the cards. One game left, if they won they wouldn’t need to worry about any other result, they would be safe, and somehow Oldham pulled it off today.
Now if only Lincoln win the playoffs we can see the Latics play at Sincil Bank.
Spalding Flower Parade
Just a quick post in between campaigning. On the weekend I went to the Spalding Flower Parade, which was rather nice. I spent most of the time with William on my shoulders so he could see what was coming around the corner.
The main reason for this post is this test, which I had planned to do on Monday.
London Zoo for Free
This weekend, whilst bored in Camden, me and Heather decided to go to London Zoo. Compared to previous times where I’ve been for free because Dad worked in the garage over the road, and fixed someones car, this time I got free entry by making a charitable donation of £28. Now it’s the first time I’ve seen this happen, but I’m guessing other attractions are doing this too or will be soon. As by making a donation, instead of purchasing an entrance, the zoo are able to claim Gift Aid, which means the Inland Revenue give them £7.84 of the income tax I’ve already paid.
Google tools
Google have now released (in Beta) some features that were only avaliable in the States.
Maps, which load near by cells in cache to speed up draging.
Local, which is a bit like Yell and
SMS, which lets you text google, and get directions, phone numbers, froggle prices or google search snippets.
For those who are worried about pub quizes, I’ve so far found it too slow.
My only problem with Maps, is that they claim to get from my Mums to mine, you can do a U-turn on Broadgate, which anyone in Lincoln knows is impossible.
Blackcurrant tea, Robots and other stuff
Just been looking at my blog, and noticed I haven’t posted in a while.
A couple of things I want to write down. For the last 4 years I’ve been trying to track down a supplier of Blackcurrant Tea. Not the cough medicine stuff that Twinnings sell, which is some herbs and blackcurrant infusion, I want tea with blackcurrant. I knew that Harrogates sold them, but had never found a shop selling them. Then the other day, whilst in one of the nicest shops in Lincoln Imperial Tea and Coffee on Steep Hill, oddly enough they were selling their own Blackcurrant Tea. I can’t believe that I’ve been visiting/ living in Lincoln for over a year, been in Imperial Tea and Coffee many times, and not noticed or even thought that they might sell what I’ve been looking for.
The second point in the title was Robots. Heather and I went to see this a few weeks ago, whilst the film was alright, the reason for posting was because we went to see it at the Kinema in the Woods. The Kinema is in Woodhall Spa, which isn’t too far away, and is located in (bet you can guess) a wood.
The Kinema still has (or has reconditioned someone else’s) organ, and if you are lucky you see it being played.
They still have the old style tickets and an intermission. The only problem we found was that they don’t take cards, so a quick dash to the High Street to find a bank was needed.
Finally other stuff, finished watching Season 6 of the West Wing, at first I wasn’t too sure of the mix and match of episodes going between the White House and the trail of the Primaries, however by the end of the season I really can’t wait for the next season.
I believe that a General Election has been called.
Charlie’s had a baby boy.
Vandals kicked in my wing mirror.
And my cousin Mark has had a kid, so I’ve got a christening to go to in a couple of weeks.
