Today I gave blood. It’s my 6th pint, and I’ll continue to give blood every 4 months until they tell me to stop.
I’m not going to preach and tell everyone else to do it. For starters they have stupid rules which mean a number of you aren’t able to do it, and I also know why people might be scared of needles.

Spot the difference
Some of the biggest fuss about Jerry Springer the Opera is this
a nappy-wearing Jesus confessing he is “a bit gay”
Now can somebody point out the “nappy” on the picture on the right?
You can’t. That’s because in Act III, Jesus is wearing a loincloth, as per the picture on the left.
In Act I, Montel wears a nappy. These are not the same character!
And what exactly is so wrong about somebody saying they might be “a bit gay” then?
Dip me in chocolate and throw me to the lesbians
Have you just watched Jerry Springer the Opera on BBC2? Did you enjoy it?
Why not tell the BBC, and also Ofcom (you can contact them now that the show has been aired).
If you loved the show, or would like to try and count the swear words and work out if the BBC estimate of 300 was correct, or if it was more like the 8000 the Daily Mail were claiming, then you can buy the soundtrack from Amazon.
Oldham 1-0 Man City
Yay!!!
The West Wing and Channel 4
A bit random this post, but does anybody know why the West Wing is only scheduled for 50 minutes on Channel 4 and E4?
Now checking the episodes I have, they last 42 minutes without the ad breaks. This is the same length as ER, 24 and Desperate Housewives, yet they have an hour.
How to use a remote control
Have you come across my blog because I’m campaigning against those who are campaigning against Jerry Springer the Opera being screened on BBC2?
Do you disagree with me?
If so, I think I need to teach you the wonders of the TV and the Remote Control.
When a programme is on that you don’t like, you pick up the Remote Control with either hand, and using your fingers, you can press a button, which will:
a) change the channel to BBC1 (normally the one with 1 on it, although UP or LEFT should work), which is showing Billy Conolly and Match of the Day
b) change the channel to ITV1 (the one with 3 on it, or try DOWN or RIGHT), which is showing Ultimate Force and The Eiger Sanction
c) change the channel to Channel 4 (although if you don’t like Jerry, I’m guessing your not going to like Jackie Brown)
d) one of the other 100’s of channels that might be available to those with Cable, Satellite or Freeview
e) TURN IT OFF (normally the Red button at the top)
It’s really that easy!
Please complain to the BBC
Following the collection of these websites, could everybody please email / ring / fax / post the BBC with requests to screen Jerry Springer the Opera.
The last count for the BBC was 15,000 complaints, so lets at least get some positive emails out there, followed by more after it’s aired.
You can contact the BBC via [email protected]
After the show is aired, you can then contact Ofcom
Spread the word, add this to your blog:
Microsoft Anti Spyware Beta
I’ve just installed Microsoft Anti Spyware Beta, and we’ll see how it goes.
Whilst I’m here, I’ll report on the Google Desktop Search which I installed back in October.
Useless, whilst I did pick up some files, it constantly complained about NetLimiter, even though there were no problems, and to get rid of the Alert message, I had to load a Google Help page within IE, neither I really wanted.
Isn’t she lovely
After she moaned about the link to the council website, I thought that I would post this picture.
