…content to the right, here I am, stuck waiting for the page to load as you’ve got some Javascript widget which takes forever to load and I give up reading your site.
It’s also really bad when trying to read your blog on a mobile* as you have to scroll past lines of links to blogs that I don’t care about just to read the punchline.
So if you are a blogger and are looking for a new template, make sure the sidebar is on the right and if you do insist on it being on the left, use CSS to ensure that the blog post appears in the HTML first.
*slight lie, with my new fancy phone webpages look the same as if they were on a PC but my wife still has the problem.
Do you mean me…
On my phone it depends which browser I use to access it. And even on the one which gives me the sidebar first I can hit “view all page”
Sir, yes sir
I’ve been meaning to write this post for around 3 years now. It wasn’t Duncan’s blog which made me do it, and just checking now, most of the content I’m on about appears at the bottom of your blog anyway so the posts appear pretty quickly.
I can’t view Darren’s website because of some paypal widget he’s put in on the left hand side. And I can’t actually tell him because his page won’t load.
Oh well 🙂
I confess, after reading your comment I moved things around a bit 🙂 – which was something I was planning to do, as all the labels were appearing first.
Well I’m preparing to transfer to WordPress in the new year but I was keeping it under wraps just now.
