Some Tories are suggesting that we should allow left turns on red lights.
I can see advantages and disadvantages of this, however it is reported as some new idea from a Tory policy group, yet I’m pretty sure that this was included or being spoke about during the 2001 general election.

I’m having a hard time picturing left on red, but if I think of it as a right turn, then why not? They don’t cause problems in the states, although our roads do tend to be straighter and wider.
