Last night Newsnight were talking about downloading Movies and TV shows over the internet. They highlighted the BBC Interactive Media Player, as an example of what can be done to combat file sharing of TV shows.

Indelible
This book has a great start that makes you want to keep on reading. Unfortunately the book doesn’t keep up the pace of the beginning, but is still a good read. At least in this book Karin Slaughter doesn’t keep going on and on about the characters previous plot lines in earlier stories. Would recommend waiting until it came out in paperback, as it’s not worth paying the hardback price (although mine is signed, so that’s ok.)

Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell
This has to be my book of the year. It was lovely from start to finish, and I enjoyed reading the some 800 pages.
After buying this book on a whim from Amazon, once I started, I found it hard to put down. The narration is great, and the whole book feels like it must be factually correct. I’m now certain that if I was to visit Newcastle, that remains of the Raven Kings lands would still be visible.
A Harry Potter for the older generation? Nope! A unique book which doesn’t go on and on about previous plot line, and over the top descriptions.

o2 and the Internet
Having got my P910i, and getting o2 to send the GPRS settings to my phone, I noticed a small problem.
Whilst the WAP browser worked, Email, Traffic-i, jMSN and Opera didn’t. They all worked before on my P800, and Traffic-i is a subscription service which I’ve paid for.
So as I was about to complain to them, I noticed something on their website: Mobile Web, this seemed to be different from o2 Active. Unfortuantaly unlike o2 Active, they won’t send you the settings via sms. Instead you have to open up PDF documents, which don’t relate to your phone, just to find the settings.
For those on o2 (any new phone), I would recommend adding this Internet Profile:
Name: o2 Mobile Web
Connection Type: GPRS
Username: o2web
Password: password
Address (APN): mobile.o2.co.uk
For a P910i, you will also need to set up a Wap Account with these details:
Account Name: O2 MOBILE
Internet Account: o2 Mobile Web
